I’ve been wanting a cute vintage chalkboard to put in my kitchen for a while now. I could write sweet messages on it to the boy or things I need to get from the grocery store or little “to do” reminders; the possibilities are endless! Naturally, the first place I decided to look was the ever-faithful Etsy. After browsing for a bit, I stumbled upon Mary Kate McDevitt’s Etsy shop & let out a gasp of delight. It’s exactly what I’ve been in the market for! My only problem? Choosing my favorite, of course! {via Ben Javins} *** Hope is the thing with feathers And sweetest in the gale is heard; I’ve heard it in the chillest land, *** This is my absolute favorite poem by Emily Dickinson. Especially that first line. To me, it’s perfection. You may recall me posting about Kareem Rizk’s prints before. Well, lucky for us all he is having a 20% off sale on his Etsy shop now & throughout the entire month of May.
Also check out his blog to see his latest work & find out what he’s up to.
I am seriously considering purchasing one of these charming tote bags by Lost Bird Found. For only $8.00, they’re pretty hard to pass up. While I’m at it, the rest of the products over at Lost Bird Found are pretty darn adorable as well. You should take a look for yourself.
I love these free printable aerograms from the lovely folks at Felt & Wire.
An aerogram combines envelope and notesheet on a single piece of paper.
The perfect way to send that special someone a little message that will really capture their attention!

I have loved Frank Chimero‘s illustrations for a while now. However, it wasn’t until recently that I discovered he has a shop with very reasonably priced posters ($20!) of his work. There are so many lovely posters to choose from! You should most definitely check them all out if you haven’t already. He knows what’s up.
The wallpaper designed by Brooklyn-based artist Dan Funderburgh really caught my eye this evening. I like how he combines common objects (fire hydrant, scissors, bicycle tires) with delicate, decorative details. I feel as though I could look at them on a dozen separate occassions & find something that I hadn’t see before. Very nice, indeed!
I have a brand new banner & (somewhat) new layout for the blog. The banner was made by a good friend of mine. He’s quite good, don’t you think? It fits my personality quite well. Besides, who doesn’t love clouds? I mean, c’mon. They’re the essence of cute. So, before I call it a night, I simply had to share this brilliant poster by graphic designer Eivind Søreng Molvær. Really, I don’t think any explanation is necessary. You know how I love to italicize for emphasis. If you’re interested, he’s selling them in a signed limited edition of 100 right here for £35. |
