Love this sentiment. I wish my fortune cookies were as insightful.

A few Thanksgiving Flickr favorites.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow! I plan on spending mine with my immediate & extended family. It’s quite a big affair in my neck of the woods. I look forward to all the faces & delicious food. Anyway, here are a few Flickr favorites to get you in the  spirit just in case you haven’t already!

Feminine & functional hoodie by Wearflock.

I really, really want this gorgeous & unbelievably versatile hoodie by Etsy seller Wearflock. I love that the hood buttons up so high & all the different ways you can wear the collar/hood. It looks like it would keep you nice & warm on the most blustery of days! {Available for sale in Wearflock’s Etsy shop for $160}

Adorable free wallpaper by Jinjerup.

I thought I’d share this adorable collection of free downloadable wallpaper that I found at Jinjerup. There is also an equally adorable selection of free printable gift box templates. Perfect for the holiday gift-giving season. The only problem is, I don’t know which to choose. I love them all!

One gorgeous & oh so classy outfit.

I found this lovely lady while browsing the beautiful photography over at Garance Doré. I don’t know if I could ever pull off this look. But, I adore it. The fur hat, the oversized scarf, the boots, the jacket. Gorgeous & oh so classy, in my opinion.

Mustaches on strings.

“Mustaches on strings are the finest of things”

I LOVE this new drawing by the ridiculously talented & always impressive Marc Johns. I interviewed him a while back on this blog & have been keeping up with his new work ever since via his Flickr. Mustaches are the best. This is the truth. This drawing also reminds me of a wedding I found out about (via NOTCOT I believe)  in which all the guests were REQUIRED to wear a mustache at the reception. My favorite photograph is the little red-headed baby girl with a matching ‘stach. I love it!

Betsy Walton

Today, I am crushing on the breath-taking artwork of Betsy Walton. I simply cannot get enough!

A few Etsy finds for a cold Monday evening.

I found some charming items on Etsy today that I simply had to share. It’s getting chilly in my neck of the woods (although no snow yet–knock on wood) & all these items somehow remind me of a cold blustery day (although, I confess, the casserole dishes are a bit of a stretch).

I simply adore the twig picture holder by Etsy seller Kindling. I think it would be a great (dare I mention it already?) Christmas gift for that person who seems to already have everything. Next, I am lusting over this beautiful leather bag by Valhallabrooklyn. It is the perfect winter accessory, in my humble opinion. And, don’t even get me started on how much I am crushing on this delicate scarf made out of wool from a farm nearby Etsy seller Gaia Conceptions. Last, but not least, are these set of three kitschy casserole dishes from White Elephant Vintage. Think of all the yummy homemade dinners that could be served out of them!

{Item Links Clockwise from Top-Left:}
1. Twig Picture Holder, $25.00, 2. Astrid zip pocket flap bag – black rustic leather, $229.00, 3. Set of 3 Pyrex Casserole Dishes – Woodland Brown: $36.00, 4. The Skein Scarf (local organic wool), $32.00

Lovely scarves by Urbanknits.

If I knew how to knit, I would make all four of these lovely scarves for myself. Alas, I have neither the attention to detail nor the patience needed to take up knitting. Besides, I am pretty sure anything I tried to knit would never look as fabulous as these! This makes me find these scarves by Etsy seller Urbanknits all the more impressive! I picked the more neutral colors to post here, because those are the sort of colors I typically wear. But, there is a wide spectrum of other color choices available in their shop.

{Links Clockwise from top-left:1. Cream Mix Button Scarflette: $50.00, 2. Green Wool Neckwarmer: $54.00, 3. Cream Scarf: $85.00, 4. Ginger twisted scarf: $75.00.}

8 Owls Print by Hannah Waldron.

“Shut up!” were the first words that I exclaimed when I saw this adorable owl screenprint by Hannah Waldron. I simply LOVE it! I think my favorite owl is the 5th one (the one with its eyes closed); but they are all so precious. Unfortunately, it seems as though Hannah’s shop is temporarily closed. But as soon as it opens, you better believe I’ll be trying to get my paws on one of these prints!
