I'm Emily & this is my personal inspiration blog. I'm an English teacher living in Cincinnati, Ohio. I like owls, patterns, typography, thrift shops, writing on post-its, making lists (that never get completed), reading in bed, taking pictures of my cat Atlas, & living my life as fully as possible on a daily basis. Gone but (hopefully) not forgotten!

Hello, friends! I know that my absence has been quite palpable. Perhaps that’s a bit presumptuous of me to assume you even noticed I was gone, huh? Anyways, life has been busy around here. I am in the midst of doing my teaching internship. Going into it this August, I had no idea how much work would be involved. It truly amazes me how little free time I have at the moment. Don’t get me wrong; I love it for the most part. But with all the lesson planning & grading & then working another part-time job in order to sustain some sort of monetary existence, this blog has been essentially put on hold.

However, I really feel that I need to do something creative again. I miss it & I think it’s a great stress-reliever for me. So, I really hope to start blogging here again. I’m not exactly sure what direction I’m going to take this blog at the moment. I simply don’t have as much time these days to peruse the internets for lovely finds. But, I do want to think of some small way to keep this blog alive while I wrap up this internship!

Anyway, I just thought I’d pop in, say hello, & let you know that I haven’t forgotten entirely about this blog. Also, as you can see from the photo above, I have managed to still have a little fun amongst all the craziness. There’s always time for pumpkin carving. Am I right?
